whose going to a imax 3d showing?? i dont know about the rest of you but ive always wanted to experience quidditch in 3-fing-D!!!! im excited!!!!

If it really is 3D (not just 2D IMAX) that would warrant a two-hour drive to Phoenix. -

Sat, May 30, 2009 - 7:41 PMI investigated a bit, and apparently about 25 minutes of the movie was filmed in IMAX 3D, split between the opening of the movie and the ending of the movie.
So, it looks I'll be driving the two hours to Phoenix to see HBP. :) -

Now that we have netflix, amazing HD tvs, home theater systems, I bet they're looking for anything to make the film watching experience worth the ever increasing cost to the consumer.
..not that that's necessarily a bad thing. It's good to tweak our entertainment to keep it exciting. i know I'll be willing to shell out the bucks
to see Deathly Hallows Part 2 in IMAX 3-D 360 degree Sensorama Dome-o-tron Smellovision Environmenticity!

Hell yeah!! Now THAT'S something I'd be more than willing to pay those prices to see!!! But of course, that technology would quickly (so very quickly) be turned to pornographic uses. :) -

Mon, July 13, 2009 - 12:13 AMIf I remember correctly, the last film which was in theaters also had some 25 or so minutes of it in 3D. I saw it at Universal Studios. It was the scene with the death eaters in the ministry of magic when the go to find the prophecy. It was pretty cool.
